Trauma Youth Support Services
Trauma Youth Support Services (TYSS) is dedicated to supporting caregivers of youth experiencing mental health crises. Caregivers are the foundation of a young person’s recovery, yet their own well-being is often overlooked. At TYSS, we believe that empowering caregivers not only strengthens families but also improves outcomes for youth.
Our mission goes beyond individual support—we are committed to addressing systemic racial inequities in healthcare. Marginalized communities face disproportionate challenges in accessing mental health resources, and TYSS is determined to challenge and disrupt these inequities. By promoting fairness and equity, we aim to create meaningful and lasting change for all families in need.
One of our core initiatives, the J.R. Program, provides vital support to caregivers during some of their most challenging times—when a child is in crisis or admitted to a hospital or mental health facility. Through this program, we offer complimentary self-care gift baskets thoughtfully curated to nurture caregivers' physical and emotional well-being. These baskets serve as a reminder that their health matters, empowering them to practice self-care as they navigate their loved one’s mental health journey.
At TYSS, we are building a community that uplifts caregivers, fosters resilience in families, and advocates for systemic change. Whether through partnerships, donations, or advocacy, your support helps us create a brighter future for caregivers and the youth they care for. Together, we can make a difference where it matters most.
